Hailing from South London and influenced by her west country roots, Ruby’s music is a poignant blend of personal reflection and self empowerment. The title and artwork of her debut EP “Flaming June” reference Frederic Leighton’s iconic 1895 painting, symbolising both the beauty and awakening of femininity.

Ruby’s journey of self-discovery and confidence mirrors the transition from a state of slumber to a vibrant spring, a theme vividly portrayed in her music. Influenced by iconic artists such as Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey, and Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Ruby’s sound is rich with introspective lyrics and warm, intricate instrumentation.

Ruby Dew makes her sly-tone debut with ‘Slow Time’, a serene track featuring Max Runham. Gentle piano melodies blend delicately with blossoming cello, echoing the warm hues of autumnal London.
